A Math Question

There are 7 girls in a bus

Each girl has 7 backpacks

In each backpack, there are 7 big cats

For every big cat, there are 7 little cats

Question- How many legs are there in the bus?

(*hint, this is NOT a trick question, there is no bus driver and the bus doesn't have legs either)

Can you solve this? Put your answer in the comments section and I will let you know if you are right!

My favorite Artist: Vincent Van Gogh

The reason I like Van Gogh is because he is a very interesting man. My favorite picture is starry night. I think his pictures of sunflowers are pretty, too. Did you know that he cut his ear off? I'll tell you about it: He got in a fight with his close friend and cut his ear off. On Christmas eve night he gave it to a woman and told her to take good care of it. I think it is a very interesting story. He made a picture of sunflowers after he cut his ear off. He also made a portrait of himself.

Some Things I Learned This Week

I learned how to write God, ago, long, chose, us, and own in cursive. I can even write my name in cursive! I also learned fractions and measuring in math. I'm studying Latin, too. Latin used to be spoken by everyone in the world! All the languages we speak today come from Latin. The Latin word for window is fenestra. Some Latin words sound like the words we speak today. Here's an example: Gem is gemma in Latin. I learned about the Native Americans in history. The Hopewell indians buried their dead in mounds. Some of the mounds are shaped like snakes and turtles.

My Trip to Disneyworld

Last November, I went to Disneyworld with my family. I went on a rollercoaster with my dad (it was very scary)! My cousin Diana went on my favorite rollercoaster with me. Diana is five years old. She is very brave! We went on a safari and my cousin Jack got to steer the boat. Jack is seven years old. He is very brave, too! Jack, Diana and me went on a treasure hunt. There was pirate stuff in the treasure chest. We had lots of fun!

All About Geodes

When I went to my grandma's house in Kentucky, we went geode hunting. Geodes are a kind of rock. I know rocks sound boring, but geodes are special. Geodes have crystals in them. Crystals are just like diamonds! I went to Land Between the Lakes to go geode hunting. If you don't live by Land Between the Lakes, ask your parents if there is a place nearby where you can go geode hunting. Just watch out for thorns! Geodes are very bumpy. To look at the crystals, ask your parents to crack them open for you. Some of the crystals might fall out, too!
