Limerick

I wrote a limerick! Here's how it goes:

There once was a young fellow named Jack
who didn't know what to pack,
so he got a grape
and closed the bag with tape
and that was his only snack.

Do you like it?

Some Things I Learned This Week

I am still reading The Hobbit. I learned about Socrates in history. I colored in a duck in art. It looked really good. I didn't do science. On monday I did science but I watched some science videos on the computer. I had a spelling test( I have them twice a week ). Now I have to spell 20 words instead of 15. That's a lot of spelling, but the words are easy.

Colorful

I feel colorful today. I like posting in color! Here are some weird things about me.

1. I love to run down the hill in our backyard as fast as I can.
2. I like looking at furniture catalogues.
3. I like to dip chicken in caramel dip.
4. I'm always hot. In the Winter I usually wear a tank-top and shorts.
5. I like watching cooking shows.
6. I don't like strawberry ice cream.
7. Bouncing a ball is one of my favorite things to do.
8. I usually fall asleep at 11:30. I get in bed at 7:30. If I'm at a sleepover I stay up all night.

Pretty weird, huh?

School Assignment

My mom told me to pretend I was a mom for this post.

Rules I would have if I were a mom:
I would have all the same rules as my mom does. There are so many that I can't post any!!!!!
Things I would do everyday if I were a mom:
1.Do the dishes( wash them ).
2.Fold laundry.
3. Cook.
4.Feed my kids( of course I would! ).
5.Eat( I don't even know why I wrote that!!! ).

That's all I can think of. I think it would be fun to be a mom!

What I Learned This Week

I learned about Xerxes I, Esther, and the golden age of Athens in history. I learned about columns when I was reading about the golden age of Athens. Here's some info about Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian columns:
Doric columns:
The Doric column is the oldest and simplest Greek style.
Ionic columns:
Ionic columns are identified by scroll-shaped ornaments at the capital that resemble rams horns.
Corinthian columns:
Corinthian columns are the latest of the three Greek styles.
I think columns are interesting. The more syllables in the word, the fancier the column. Corinthian columns are very fancy. They have swirls and a feathery design, there's even a little flower carved into the bundle of feathers near the capital( the capitals are the tops of the columns ).
I learned how to write most, important, makes, continue, many, and deep in cursive. I am using a new math book( you must think I did ten pages a day, right? Nope. Only two. It was only 34 pages long! ).
I am still reading The Hobbit. I am doing narration, too. I read A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like to read in bed, too. I just finished a Magic Treehouse book last night called Season of the Sandstorms. The reading I do in school is really, really, REALLY different than the reading I do in bed, VERY different!!!!!

Book Review: From The Mixed-Up Files Of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler

Two kids stayed( oops, lived )in a museum for couple weeks alone( they even had a snack bar IN THE MUSEUM!!! ). They had to find places to eat and sleep, they even had to manage their money! They helped solve a mystery about a statue, too! I think it was a VERY good book. My favorite part was when they solved the mystery about the statue.
