Sisse's Second Day Off

1.Put your right foot in front of you and put your left foot in back of you( you don't have to do a split! ).
2. You jump with your legs out the way they are in the first step.
3. Put your legs back together and bend down and pop up( popping is like jumping ).
4. Jump and spin together at the same time( it's like twirling on air! ).
5. Jump in a circle with your legs the way they are in the first step( it's like ballet! ).
6. Spin around( on the ground ).
7. Pop five times( pop! pop! pop! pop! pop! ).
8. Bow down( bravo! bravo! ).

Sisse's Day Off

I thought I would do a post for my sisse( sister) today. Can you guess who I am?

I'm....... Gracie!! What i'm going to do today is give you a baby talk lesson.
First, i'll teach you my favorite word... UBDA! It means you're funny. I also like the word brrrrrr. It's the sound you make when you vibrate your lips. My sisse can do it for a really long time. She sounds like brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. That's a LONG time!!! Brrrrrr dosen't mean anything, it's just a fun noise that babies like to make. Now, last but not least, the longest word, hdgfbfrthfbcgdfefrgfbcgfhdcdvbnbhsfgmsfkjjfhgjrhfhfjfhjdbkhjgutiyufjghjfhdjghjdhggdjghdjkghg, whew, that's hard to say!!! It means,abcdefg,hijklmnop,qrs,tuv,w,x,y and z. Now I know my abcs, next time won't you sing with me. One word can be a whole song!!!

Some Things I Learned this Week

I'm still reading SPQR. I learned how to write rode, coat, row, come, hope, pole, late, way, and sail in cursive. I made goo in science( it was VERY sticky!). I like the third chapter of my history book! I really like learning about history. And I did art, too. It was lots of fun!!!

My favorite video game

My favorite video game is Professor Layton and the curious village. I love it because you have to solve brainteasers to help you solve the mystery of the golden apple. Lady Dahlia is the wife of the baron( he died and said in his will that he hid the golden apple in the village). Their is a murder and the murderer lives at the scary old tower at the end of the village. That's all I know because I just found the tower. I really like it and I think it's LOTS of fun!!!

History Assignment

My history assignment yesterday, from The Mystery of History was to re-write Habukuk 3:17-18 in more modern terms. Here is what I wrote:

Though the computer does not work and we do not have cable, though the cookies are burnt and my little brother tore a page out of my favorite book, though I have to do chores on the weekend and my little sister keeps making a mess, I will rejoice in the Lord.

Some Things I Learned This Week

I learned multiplication in math. I'm reading a book that my mom read when she was a kid called Spqr. I took a BIG history test that was so big I had to do part of it every day! I'm going to start another chapter in history on Monday. I wrote a bible verse in cursive. I also learned how to write Christ, became, gifts, he, what, and delights in cursive ( even though I can write almost anything in cursive! ).

The Adventures of Alex and Olivia

My brother and sister have had lots of adventures. Every morning when we get up, we watch Grossology on discovery kids. Last night they pretended to be Ty and Abby! One time we went sledding down the big hill in the backyard. They are very funny! Tomorrow I'm going to make a blog for them with my mom.

Book Review: The Magic Tree House Series, Tigers at Twilight

In Tigers at Twilight, Jack and Annie go on a mission to get one of the things they need to help a little dog that's under a spell and they end up rescuing a tiger, too. Some langurs ( a kind of monkey) helped Jack and Annie escape from the tiger after they rescue it. The langurs also helped them escape from a python ( a kind of snake). They even got to ride on an elephant!

Bowling

I love bowling, it's lots of fun! Have you ever gone bowling before? I like bowling because it's lots of fun! I went bowling a few days ago and got 3 spares! Do you like bowling? If you do, it's probably because you want to see if you can get more spares than your dad. But you probably know it's not about winning. It's also about having fun. Don't you think fun is better than winning? Next time you go bowling, just remember to have fun!

Happy Birthday Gracie

My little sister is turning 1 today! I can't believe she's turning 1! It feels like she was born just yesterday. Her beautiful eyes look just like oceans of crystal blue water. I think she's very cute! She really likes to share. When she eats she holds out her food for us and we say, " No, you eat it!" She's very silly, too. Sometimes she puts a diaper on her head. We always pamper her, too. Sometimes my little brother and sister pamper her to much!

Some Things I Learned This Week

This week I learned how to write very, even, and world in cursive. I even wrote a bible verse! In phonics I wrote all the words I needed to write in cursive. In phonics I wrote lots of words in cursive. I wrote hen, pet, pin, got, nod, nut, not, pod, pit, fat, bad, bit, get, peg, pot, bun, rug, ran, can, map, men, had, bag, bid, jam, him, wig, beg, pup, and cap. That's 30 words! I learned how to measure in centimeters in math. I learned some Latin. Hair in Latin is coma. I think that's the word we got comb from because you use a comb to get knots out of your hair.

Saturday Chef

This Saturday, I'm going to cook breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, and dessert. I got a kids cookbook at the Library. I picked some yummy recipes to eat. Hear is my schedule:

9:00 am - Make breakfast. Make cereal and toast.
12:00 pm - Make lunch. Make triple Decker dagwoods. Side dish: Funky fries.
2:45 pm - Make snacks. Make croissant feast.
3:30 pm - Make dessert. Make stained glass cookies.
6:15 pm - Make dinner. Make crunchy crostini. Side dish: Turkish meatballs.

I'm also thinking of having a movie night. And I'm going to make ice cream floats.
