Some Things I Learned This Week
I am still reading The Hobbit. I learned about Socrates in history. I colored in a duck in art. It looked really good. I didn't do science. On monday I did science but I watched some science videos on the computer. I had a spelling test( I have them twice a week ). Now I have to spell 20 words instead of 15. That's a lot of spelling, but the words are easy.

I read the Hobbit and I loved it! I may have to read it again one day soon. I hope you are enjoying the book.
So how are you liking The Hobbit? As a child, I had a record with an abridged recording of The Hobbit. It also came with a picture book to follow along with the story. It was one of my favorites!
My dad gave me a copy of the book when I was in high school, but I didn't get around to reading it for years.
Finally, when I met my future husband, the book reappeared. I was sick in bed one weekend, and he would sit by my side all day and read me The Hobbit! :) I thought it was a great book. (And I'm sure glad I married him!)
What a fun book for summer reading! Will you continue on and read the Rings Trilogy, too?
