All About Robins

I really like robins. Here are some facts about them:

Habitat:
Lawns, golf courses, towns, parks, and farms.
Seasons:
All year throughout most of the U.S.
( Facts taken from Birds Of North America Eastern Region by John Bull, Edith Bull, Gerald Gold, and Pieter D. Prall )

I found a family of robins that live in our backyard. There is a mom, a dad, and four kids. I named them, too. The mom is named Scarlet, the dad is named Red, and the kids are named Fluffy, Feathers, Leather, and Fiery. Feathers, Leather, and Fluffy are girls. Fiery is a boy. Fluffy and Fiery are VERY fast!!!

Great information, Isabelle. Now I have another question: How did you find out the babies were boys or girls?

We had an interesting experience with a wild bird recently. You can read the funny story about it on my blog: http://fivejs.wordpress.com/2008/02/26/it-came-from-the-depths-of-the-dryer/

We have a house full of black Capped Chickodee's in a house in our back yard. They are soo cute. They like that house because it is close towhere I feed the birds. So it make it easy for them to feed their babies.
