LSA

SUPER SECRET DOCUMENT

Jack, Diana, and Isabelle-

I am the founder of the UNSA, United National Spy Agency.
We need your help.

Would you please form a Spy Agency of your own, the LSA: Little Spy Agency

Please help us.

- John Norman Rocktem

Please follow me, Jack, and Diana on our adventures. I am going to write our Spy adventures (real ones!!!) into a great book - The LSA: The story of a real spy agency

In Chicago I am having the spy adventures with Jack and Diana.

I might write some of the story there.

My longest story ever!

Excited

I'm so excited! I'm going to Chicago tomorrow!

I can't wait to have the Little Chef, it'll be a lot of fun. I also have a new recipe to add to my menu, banilla (or banana-vanilla) pie!

Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:
store-bought graham cracker pie crust
Bannila yogurt (or banana and vanilla, just mix them together)
Whip cream

1. Pour the bannila yogurt into the pie crust, it takes about six or seven cups.
2. Mix in a cup of whip cream, to keep the yogurt from falling out when you cut a slice.
3. Put a dot of whip cream on top in the middle. It's a good decoration.

I'll try to get the recipes for all my recipes before I leave tomorrow. Not partchooeezy though, just scroll down to my idea book.

Little Chef: Interview

In order:

First read my post Little Chef, then Little Chef Menu, and then read this.

INTERVIEW:

Question: Are you excited about doing all this cooking?

I can't wait! It's going to be even more fun since Jack and the Junior helpers are going to help me, and Diana will do some cooking when she's not busy taking orders.

Question: Junior Helpers?

Alex, Olivia, and Faith. They do things like give us the food that they can reach and set the microwave timer.

Question: Are they excited?

Alex and Olivia are almost as excited as me! I don't know about Faith, though, because she's in Chicago.

Question: How did you come up with Partchooeezy?

Ummm. . . . . I forgot.

Question: What are you, Jack, Diana, and the Junior helpers having for your meals?

We're making things from our menus for us.

Little Chef: Menu

Scroll down for the first post on Little Chef if you haven't read it. After that, read this.
If you have read it, read this now.

Here is our menu. They are simple recipes, but they're all delicious.

The ones marked with RRKC stands for Rachael Ray Kids Cookbook, and the ones marked with MR stand for My Recipe.

Drinks

I can't wait to start our restaurant! Here's more about it:

Where: At nana and papa's house it's in the basement, and at aunt Kristy and uncle Tom's house it's at the kitchen table.

Time: 8:00 am through 9:00 pm. We'll have to wake up soooo EARLY!

Meals: All of them! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Dessert, Snacks. . . . . . .

When: Oh, does that mean the date? I don't know, just a day when we're not going to be out doing something.

Rating: Alex and Olivia rate it five stars.

Seating: At aunt Kristy and Uncle Tom's, it just chairs at the kitchen table. At nana and papa's, it's a couch, a few little chairs(Gracie), and the computer chair.

Entertainment: At nana and papa's, TV, a pool table, and magazines (Reader's Digest and Family Fun).
At aunt Kristy and uncle Tom's, everyone is next to the kitchen so me and Jack will tell jokes while we cook and I might take a few magazines (Reader's Digest and Family Fun) for everybody to read while they wait for their food.

Which place is best: Nana and Papa's.
It'll be more like a restruant because they won't see us cooking - we'll be upstairs.
It's more fun too, because it has magazines and TV. The pool table is good too, incase anybody wants to play some pool. I like playing pool.

It will be a lot of fun! I can't wait to go to nana and papa's this weekend!

Little Chef

In Chicago, we will have a restaurant for a day. Me, Alex, Olivia, Faith, Jack, and Diana will all work there, We all have jobs. Nana, papa, Aunt Kristy, Uncle Tom, Mom, dad, and Grace will be who we are serving.

Job positions:

Isabelle: Head chef
(I am the oldest, so I'm pretty much the best cook!)

Jack: Chef
(He helps a lot. For example, he reminds me what the ingredients are, how much of what to put in, and does 1/3 of the cooking.)

Diana: Waitress
(She takes peoples' orders, tells me and Jack who wants what, we make it, give it to her, she gives it to the customer. When she's not busy, she helps with the cooking.)

Alex, Faith, and Olivia: Junior helpers
(They get to give us the ingredients that they can reach. They also set the microwave timer with my help.)

Hours:
We're pretty much making all the meals, and everybody gets what they want.

We'll pretty much be open 8 am through 9 pm.

Menu:
A few recipes from my Rachel Ray kids cookbook, and some I invented myself, with drinks like milk and water.

I'll post more later!

Bubble Fest

Today is the first annual Bubble Fest in our house. Here:

GAMES

1. Bubble Dimes
Instructions:
1. Find a dime.
2. Blow a big bubble.
3. Throw the dime through the bubble. The person who throws the dime closest to the middle of the bubble wins.

2. Big Bubble Contest
Instructions:
1. Just blow a big bubble! The person with the biggest bubble wins.

3. Bubble Go Fish

I might have snacks up later.

The Forest

I am going to a forest near the school I went to before I was homeschooled.

I am going tomorrow. Last time I was there was three years ago, and the grass was a foot and a half tall, so the highest I'm guessing the grass is now is three feet tall. There are lots of prickly weeds though, but there are also beautiful flowers.

Alex and Olivia are coming too, it's going to be a lot of fun!

P.S. When I come back from Chicago, I might write about a few kids who find a secret world in the forest that I'm visiting.

Going to Chicago

I'm going to Chicago this June.

I actually leave on May 31st, But most of our time is this June. I am so excited!

While we're there, we're going to celebrate Olivia's birthday, she is turning four. It's actually June 9th and we're leaving June 7th, so we're celebrating it early.

My ideas: Idea #5 up!

Idea #1
___________________________________________________________________
Last night I thought of something. I got out of bed and hung two hangers on the side of my bunk bed ladder. I asked Olivia what she wanted to wear today, and I put it on the hanger. I did the same thing with Alex.

This morning, they just got out of bed and put on the clothes on their hangers! Usually they make messes trying to find clothes, but if I keep doing this everyday there will never be a clothing mess again!
I also put up a hanger for me this morning. I just hung up my clothes for tomorrow.

Who knew a hanger could prevent a mess?
___________________________________________________________________

Idea #2
___________________________________________________________________
Sometimes I like to keep things simple, like using that idea with the hanger.

This is almost just as simple: Predicting the weather. Without using electricity.

This means no checking the weather on the computer, checking it on the Weather channel, the weather website. . . . . . . . . . . . You don't need anything. You pretty much just need clouds and a cricket.

Temperature: Count the number of cricket chirps in 15 seconds. Add 40 to that and you have the temperature.
Weather: Look at the clouds.
Cirrus-Thin and wispy, these are the highest clouds in the sky. These usually appear when it's going to be a nice day.
Cumulus-Very puffy, usually white. If one is covering the sun, don't look at it! It's blinding white.
Now, Cumulus clouds usually appear when it's going to be a nice day. But watch out, if there are lots in the sky there might be rain later.
Cumulonimbus-A mix of Cumulus(above)and Nimbus(below)clouds. When Cumulus clouds bump into each other, they can get big and tall and grey. These clouds mean thunderstorms are coming.
Nimbus-Usually bluish-grey, these clouds bring rain, but sometimes they just pass right over you and move somewhere else.

That's the simplest way of predicting the weather!

Without using electricity, of course.
_____________________________________________________________
Idea #3
_____________________________________________________________
Make a snowglobe! It's easy.

Take a clear glass jar(like a salsa or jam jar with the label peeled off)and take the lid off. Fill it all the way up with water, and then just put some beads, sequins, and glitter in it. Put
the lid back on. Turn it upside down.

After that, turn it back up so the glitter falls to the bottom again.

___________________________________________________________________

Idea #4
_____________________________________________________________
Make Partchoeezy! Here's the recipe.

Ingredients:
Pepperoni
Cheese
Bread
Tomato paste

Recipe:
1.
Toast your bread.
2. After that, spread on the tomato paste.
3. Put two pieces of cheese on each slice.
4. Cut one piece of pepperoni into three rows, then cut each row in half. You should have six small pieces. Six small pieces(1 whole piece)per slice.
5. Microwave for one minute.
6. Let it cool off for three minutes. After that, it's ready to eat!
___________________________________________________________________
Idea #5
_____________________________________________________________
Make a little neighborhood! It's perfect for kids. You can share it with your brothers, sisters, and friends.

Library:
Use a bookshelf for this.
Instructions:
1. Put your little brother and sister's books on the bookshelf.
2. Make paper or cardboard library cards, have them sign their names.
3. Set a number of days the books can be kept.
4. Set a number of how many books can be checked out.
5. Rules.

After they check out their books, they can't get any more until take them back.

They have to ask you to "check out" the books. Like, pretend to scan their library card and books.
6. Have fun!

TIPS: For my Library. . .
Number of days: 3
How many books?:Up to 10

P.S. Maybe I can post pictures sometime.
I'll have my church up soon.

Church

This works well with little brothers and little sisters.

1. Choose a nice, sunny or shady spot.(outside works well)
2. Find a Bible that has bible stories, except like they would be like in the present, so it's easier for little kids to understand. For example, I use the Little Girls Bible Storybook.
3. Read bible verses(from regular bible), pray, read bible stories(little kids' bible), and send out prayer balloons.(below)

Prayer balloons:
1. Get a helium filled balloon.
2. Write a prayer(like the Lord's Prayer)on a piece of paper.
3. Punch a hole in the top of the piece of paper.
4. Tie it onto the balloon with the balloon ribbon.
5. Before you let go of it, write this at the bottom:

If you find this prayer, please e-mail _______.

If you want to know how far it went, put this below that.

Please e-mail your country. If you live in the United States, e-mail your state.
I would like to know how far this prayer has traveled.

P.S. I'll have my store up soon!
___________________________________________________________________

I really hope I come up with more good ideas. I'm trying to come up with ten or more.

Partchoeezy

Partchoeezy- pronounced Parch-ooh-easy: A delicious pizza-like treat, made with bread, cheese, pepperoni, and tomato paste

I came up with that. It sort of reminds me of the game Parcheezi(is that spelled right?). I forgot where I heard of it. . . . maybe my world almanac for kids.

Anyway, I am making Partchoeezy this afternoon with Alex and Olivia. If it turns out right, it will be Idea #3 in my idea book.

I can't wait to make it!

Power out

Sorry I haven't posted lately, the computer had a virus and the power was out one day. I'll tell you about the storm.

I was watching Flight 29 Down on Discovery kids, and suddenly the power was out and it was raining and hailing. 5 minutes later, the wind started blowing everything around outside, it even uprooted a tree. The winds were blowing the rain to the left, and it was really scary. The wind was like 60 miles per hour, maybe even 70! The clouds became mammatus clouds, which are black and scary. They usually look like bubblewrap, some deep hills in them, they look like holes being pushed into the clouds. Usually these occur during a severe thunderstorm or before a tornado. The thunder was very, very loud.
10 minutes later, the wind was gone and so was most of the thunder and lighting, but it was still raining and hailing. My mom called my dad and he said the worst had passed.

75,000 people in our area didn't have power, that's what the news said when we got back home from dinner.

It was the worst thunderstorm we ever had. The next day I read on the weather website that the clouds had rotation in them and might have produced a tornado. While our power was out, we had a tornado watch.
